Ballad Of...Petra Doe - out now!

Down in London tonight is the launch party for the newest issue of Ballad Of... magazine, which features some of our props (like this headpiece, below) in an editorial piece by Paulina Surys, modelled by the beautiful singer/pianist Nadine Shah.

Farewell, May68

On November 5th at Islington Mill, Manchester's own May68 played their last EVER gig! We were flattered that the band's singer, Judy Wainwright asked us to make her something special to wear for the show.

We made her this studded gold collar and tasseled bolo!

We want to wish all the guys from May68 good luck in whatever adventures they have next.

Dia de los Common

Last week we made some sugar skull lanterns to kit out Common for their Week of the Dead celebrations. Skulls have definitely been a running theme for us over the past couple weeks, and as we launch into out next project we've still got gruesome matters on our minds - shrunken heads!
More on that later.

Dia de los Muertos!

For the last few weeks we have been part of a team of people, led by Sarah Unwin, making props for last night's Day of the Dead at Ruby Lounge in Manchester. It was fun work and it really paid off as the space looked amazing! Making sugar skulls, graves and shrines, and placing hundreds of flowers, we transformed the place into a Mexican celebration of death!

Bolo Ties. kinda-sorta.

The projects we've been working on over the past couple months have inspired us to make scaled-down, wearable versions of our props. At the risk exposing how nerdy we are, we wanted to share some photos of the things we've been making during our tea breaks.

Here are some of our interpretations of the Bolo Tie (minus the tie part), and a few necklaces. We've also been whipping up tote bags, bum bags and rucksacks, and we'll be posting pictures of them soon.

If any of these catch your eye drop us an email at sacredgeometrists(at)gmail.com

Our Etsy shop is up and running too! We've got t-shirts, neck ties, bow ties and more - all of it hand dyed and hand made.
